The Soundwriters are an indie/pop duo from Kamloops, BC, and also a real life couple! Sam (the sound) and Emma (the Writer) make music that feels fresh and exciting, but also like a hug from an old friend. It’s cool, it’s cozy, it’s real. Their album ‘Better Than Before’ came out in the fall, it’s a must listen if you like indie pop music. Before this most recent project, they released an EP titled ‘Anti-Famous’ which included a local-favourite song called ‘Girl at the Party’.

Emma has been writing and singing all her life, and Sam has been playing drums, guitar, bass, etc for just as long- The Soundwriters is an accumulation of everything the pair have learned, loved, and hoped for. They have played live shows for the past three years, with a chemistry and sound that feels hard to capture unless you hear it. For their performance, you can expect wonderful original tunes that audiences are sure to love, as well as a wide variety of pop/folk/ rock covers, suitable for all ages.
